At Lana’s Learning Lab, we maintain clear and professional policies to ensure a smooth, respectful, and effective tutoring experience for every student and family. By booking a session, clients agree to the following terms:
Pricing
Rates may vary depending on the complexity of the subject, session type, or tutor. Base prices for online sessions are as follows:
Middle school: $50+/hr
High school: $60+/hr
College: $70+/hr
Sessions that end early at the student’s request are still subject to the full agreed-upon charge.
In-person sessions may be available by request and include an additional fee, based on travel distance.
Session Bundles
Lesson bundles are available in 4-week and 6-week blocks.
The number of sessions per bundle is customized based on an agreement reached during the initial consultation.
Session Scheduling
Sessions must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Scheduling can be arranged during the consultation call or through email/message afterwards.
Sessions are available online or, if mutually agreed upon, at a designated public location.
Lateness, Cancellations, and Rescheduling
If the student arrives late, the session will conclude at the original end time and will be billed in full.
If the tutor is late, clients may extend the session, receive a partial refund, or apply a credit to future sessions.
For individual sessions: Cancellations or rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours prior to the session for a full refund. No-shows or late cancellations will not be refunded.
For bundles: Refunds are prorated based on sessions used and must be requested within 15 days of the first session. After 15 days, no refunds will be issued.
Payment Policy
Full payment for each session is required at the time of booking, and at least 24 hours prior to the lesson.
Accepted payment methods: Cash App, PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle.
Online Tutoring
Students must have reliable internet access and the necessary device(s) for online learning.
Lessons are conducted via Zoom or Google Meet; students are expected to have Google Meet or Zoom installed and tested ahead of their first session.
Conduct, Confidentiality, & Communication
Required resources will be provided; students are responsible for bringing their own textbooks, notebooks, and assignments.
All personal and academic information is kept strictly confidential and will not be shared without express consent.
Student work will not be disclosed or used externally unless explicit permission is granted.
Communication by email or text is welcome; inquiries will receive a response within 24 hours on business days.
